SHATTA WALE AND SHATTA MOVEMENT ADDRESS TRAGIC EVENTS

Shatta Wale and the Shatta Movement family have officially cancelled SHATTAFEST UK following a serious incident that occurred outside the event venue.

In an official press statement released on Friday, the team said the decision was made with a “very heavy heart” and that the safety and well-being of fans was the top priority.

“Nothing is more important than the safety and well-being of every single person who came to celebrate music, unity, and love,” the statement read.

Reports of Injuries and Alleged Loss of Lives
The Shatta Movement confirmed it is “deeply saddened by the reports of injuries and the alleged loss of lives” related to the incident.

While awaiting official confirmation from UK authorities on all the facts, the team said its “thoughts and prayers remain with the individuals involved, their families, their friends, and everyone impacted by this heartbreaking incident.”

“To know that what was meant to be a night of celebration has become a moment of pain is truly devastating,” the statement added.

Call to Avoid Speculation
Shatta Wale and his team have asked the public and media to avoid speculation while investigations are ongoing.

“We respectfully ask the public and members of the media to avoid speculation while the appropriate authorities conduct their investigations. We trust that the truth will be established through the proper processes,” the release stated.

The Shatta Movement said it remains fully committed to cooperating with the relevant authorities and event partners to understand exactly what happened.

Appreciation to First Responders and Fans
The statement also extended sincere appreciation to emergency services, security personnel, medical teams, venue staff, and everyone who responded to assist those in need.

To fans who travelled from near and far, the team expressed “deep gratitude for your support, your patience, and your understanding during this incredibly difficult time.”

Focus Now On Victims
“This is not the outcome anyone wished for,” the statement concluded. “Today, our focus is not on a concert – it is on the people whose lives have been affected.”

Shatta Wale and the Shatta Movement asked the public to “keep the victims, their loved ones, and all those impacted in your prayers,” praying for comfort for grieving families and strength for those recovering.

Authorities in the UK are yet to release an official report on the incident.
