Emmanuel Nii Adam Quaye, popularly known as Strika from the movie Beasts of No Nation, has reportedly been sentenced in prison after appearing before an Accra court over the alleged theft of state property.
Strika was recently seen in a viral video allegedly removing metal railings from the Kwashieman footbridge, reportedly to sell them as scrap.
He was arrested and taken to the police station before being processed for court.
According to OG TV, which has previously supported Strika in efforts to help him turn his life around, Strika himself confirmed to them that he had been handed some years sentence.
Strika gained recognition through Beasts of No Nation, but his life after the movie has been marked by several difficulties and controversies. Various individuals have made efforts to support him, but his latest reported legal troubles have raised fresh concerns about his wellbeing and future.
