Accra, Ghana | 13 October 2026
Omanbapa Deftech Ltd has contributed GH₵100,000 towards the Burma Camp Redevelopment Project, demonstrating its commitment to supporting national development, strengthening public institutions and improving the welfare of Ghanaian military personnel.
The donation was formally presented on Tuesday, 13 October 2026, at Burma Camp, the headquarters of the Ghana Armed Forces (GAF). The event brought together representatives of Omanbapa Deftech Ltd and senior military officers assigned by the Chief of the Defence Staff (CDS) to receive the delegation and facilitate the engagement.
Although the CDS was unable to attend the ceremony personally, the designated military representatives received the company’s team, allowing the presentation and discussions to proceed.
Investment in Military Welfare and Infrastructure
The GH₵100,000 contribution is intended to support the ongoing redevelopment initiative at Burma Camp, which seeks to modernise ageing military infrastructure and provide improved residential accommodation and related facilities for service personnel and their families.
Through this gesture, Omanbapa Deftech Ltd has joined other organisations and stakeholders contributing to efforts to enhance the living conditions of Ghana’s military community.
The company views the redevelopment project as an important national initiative, recognising the role that adequate accommodation and supporting infrastructure play in promoting the welfare of personnel who serve the country.
The donation also highlights the potential for stronger partnerships between private enterprises and public institutions in addressing infrastructure challenges and advancing Ghana’s broader development agenda.
For Omanbapa Deftech Ltd, corporate social responsibility involves more than conducting business. It also means identifying opportunities to support institutions and projects that deliver lasting value to the country and its people.
Company Delegation Engages Ghana Armed Forces Representatives
The delegation from Omanbapa Deftech Ltd was led by its Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Bernard Oduro Takyi (Ch.IE), accompanied by Mrs. Jacqueline Oduro Takyi, a Director of the company, and five additional members of the team.
At the meeting, the delegation formally presented the GH₵100,000 donation in support of the Burma Camp Redevelopment Project. The engagement provided an opportunity for the company to reaffirm its willingness to contribute to initiatives focused on institutional improvement and military welfare.
Omanbapa Deftech Ltd expressed appreciation to the leadership of the Ministry of Defence and the Ghana Armed Forces for receiving its delegation and facilitating the presentation.
The Ministry of Defence also conveyed its appreciation for the contribution, acknowledging the company’s support for the redevelopment initiative.
Strengthening Private Sector Participation in National Development
Omanbapa Deftech Ltd is a wholly Ghanaian-owned company with operations spanning defence, security, cybersecurity and technology. It also maintains a strategic relationship with China Electronics Technology Group Corporation (CETC), reflecting its engagement in partnerships within its areas of specialisation.
The company’s contribution to the Burma Camp Redevelopment Project underscores the role Ghanaian-owned businesses can play in supporting public institutions and initiatives of national importance.
By extending support beyond its commercial operations, Omanbapa Deftech Ltd is demonstrating its commitment to responsible corporate citizenship and constructive engagement with institutions working to meet the country’s development needs.
The donation further highlights the importance of cooperation among government agencies, the private sector and other stakeholders in pursuing shared national objectives.
As Ghana continues to invest in institutional development and infrastructure improvement, contributions from responsible corporate organisations can help complement public-sector efforts and support projects designed to improve the welfare of citizens.
The GH₵100,000 donation by Omanbapa Deftech Ltd therefore represents not only financial support for the Burma Camp Redevelopment Project but also a practical demonstration of the company’s commitment to Ghana’s development and the welfare of its military community.
