Reverend Isaac Owusu Bempah, the leader of Glorious Word and Power Ministries International, and four of his associates are scheduled to appear in an Accra Circuit Court on Tuesday to answer new charges.
Rev. Owusu Bempah and his four accomplices have been charged with threatening to kill people and assaulting public officers, as well as offensive behaviour in relation to the breach of peace.
Mensah Ofori, Adu Berchie, Michael Boateng, Frederik Ohene, and Nathaniel Agyekum are the four accomplices.
They are accused of breaking into the home of Evangelist Patricia Oduro Korenteng nicknamed Agradaa on September 9 this year in Weija, allegedly under threat. However, the accused refused to meet with her.
They went to Agradaa’s second house in New Aplaku and threatened her saying “We will kill you.”
Except for Berchie, who pleaded not guilty, Reverend Owusu and the order accused pleaded guilty.
Berchie, on the other hand, was arrested by police on September 29 and has been charged with unlawful possession of firearms.
Rev. Owusu Bempah was summoned to the police station, but he refused to accept the letter.
On September 12, this year, the Police identified some of the young men, including Mensah Ofori, Associate Pastor of Rev. Owusu Bempah, as two of the people in a viral video threatening the complaint and brandishing a pistol.
The police went to the church to arrest the accused. Two police officers were injured in the process.
